Mahatma budha

Mahatma budha

Mahatma Buddha was born 563 BCE in Lumbini, Nepal and died in 483 BCE, when he was 80 years of age.  He died in Kushinagar, India.  Princess Yashodhara was the life partner of Mahatmabuddha.  His child's name was Rahul.  His father's name was Shuddhodhan and mother's name was Mahamaya.

Birth and upbringing of Mahatma Buddha

Mahatma Buddha was born in Lumbini in 563 BC in the house of King Shuddhodhana of the Ikshvaku dynasty Kshatriya Shakya clan.  His mother's name was Mahamaya. Mahamaya was of Koliya dynasty. The Lumbini forest was located in the Terai region of Nepal between Kapilavastu and Devdah, 8 miles west of Nautanwa station, near a place called Rukminidevi.

Mahamaya Devi, the queen of Kapilvastu, had a childbirth on her way to her Naihar Devdah, and there she gave birth to a child.  The baby was named Siddharth. He was also called Gautama because he was born in the Gautama gotra.

His mother died seven days after the birth of Mahatma Buddha.  He was raised by Mahaprajapati Gautami, the queen's younger sister.

Siddhartha's only firstborn child, Rahul and his wife Yashodhara, abandoned the temptation of the king in the night in search of true divine knowledge and the path to free the world from death, death, sorrows and went towards the forest.  After years of hard work, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya (Bihar) and became Lord Buddha from Siddhartha Gautama.

Mahatma Buddha is considered to be the avatar in the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu and the twenty-third of the twenty-four avatars.

Education and marriage

Siddhartha not only read the Vedas and Upanishads with Guru Vishwamitra, but also studied royalty and warfare.  Siddhartha could not compete in wrestling, horse racing, arrow-shooting, chariots.  At the age of sixteen, Siddharth was married to the girl Yashodhara.  He lived with Yashodhara in the palace where the son was born, in the palace with all the pleasures and all the pleasures that were made by his father.  But after marriage, his mind went into disinterest and he abandoned his family for the sake of peace and happiness.

Detachment from the world

One day Siddhartha was taking a walk on the garden. An old man appeared on the road.  His teeth were broken, his hair was caught, his body was crooked.  Walking slowly, trembling, holding sticks in his hand.  When Kumar went out for a garden walk, a patient came in front of his eyes.  He was breathing fast.  The arms were dry.  The stomach was swollen.  His face turned pale.  He was able to walk very hard with the help of another.

For the third time Siddhartha has a meaningful meeting.  Four men were taking him.  There were many people behind.  Some were crying, some were beating their chest, some were scratching their hair.  These scenes distract Siddhartha a lot.  He thought that 'Damn it is youth, who soaks up life'.  Damn to health, which destroys the body.  Damn to life, which completes its chapter so soon.

Will old age, sickness and death always remain benign?  For the fourth time, when Kumar went for a walk in the garden, he saw a monk.  Free from all the feelings and desires of the world, a happy monk attracted Siddhartha.

Attainment of nirvana

According to the Mahaparinirvana Sutta of the Pali Siddhanta, at the age of 80, the Buddha announced that he would soon leave for Parinirvana.  The Buddha took his bar meal, which he had received as an offering from a blacksmith named Kunda, causing him to become seriously ill.  The Buddha instructed his disciple Anand to explain to Kunda that he had made no mistake.  He said that this food is incredible.
